CSV Import

Import contacts from a spreadsheet or platform export

Supported formats

Poncdash auto-detects the format of your CSV file. Recognised formats include:

  • LinkedIn — Export from LinkedIn "Connections"
  • Google Contacts — Export from contacts.google.com
  • Outlook / Microsoft — Export from Outlook People
  • Apple / iCloud — Export as CSV from Contacts app
  • HubSpot — Export from HubSpot CRM
  • Generic CSV — Any CSV with a header row
  • vCard (.vcf) — Standard contact file format

Import steps

  • Go to Import in the sidebar
  • Upload your file — Poncdash detects the format automatically
  • Map columns to Poncdash fields (pre-mapped for known formats)
  • Review the preview and check for errors
  • Confirm — contacts are created immediately

Platform tagging

When you import from a recognised platform (e.g. LinkedIn, Google), Poncdash automatically records that those contacts exist on that platform. This feeds into connection threads — the more platforms a contact is on, the more resilient your connection.

You can see platform presence on any contact's detail page via the thread indicator.

💡Duplicate detection runs during import. Contacts with the same email as an existing contact will be merged, not duplicated.
