Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions answered

Is my contact data stored on Poncdash's servers?

Enrichment data (interactions, tags, relationship context) is stored in Poncdash's database. Raw contact fields synced from your providers are cached, but the source of truth stays in Google/Microsoft/iCloud. You can export or delete all data at any time.

What happens if I disconnect Google?

Contacts imported from Google remain in Poncdash but will no longer sync. Changes in Google won't appear, and changes in Poncdash won't write back. Re-connecting re-enables sync.

Can I use Poncdash without connecting any provider?

Yes. You can add contacts manually or via CSV import and use Poncdash as a standalone contact manager without syncing to any external provider.

How is relationship strength calculated?

It's based on the frequency and recency of logged interactions. Meetings carry more weight than emails. Strength decays if you stop logging interactions.

What are connection threads?

Threads are independent ways you can reach someone — email, phone, provider sync, platform presence, or a Poncdash connection. The more threads you have, the more resilient the connection. See the Connection Threads help article for details.

What happens if I leave a platform like LinkedIn?

Contacts you imported from LinkedIn still exist in Poncdash with all their details. You lose the LinkedIn platform thread, but any other threads (phone, email, provider sync) remain. That's the whole point — Poncdash ensures no single platform is a single point of failure.

Is Poncdash GDPR-compliant?

Yes. You consent explicitly at signup. You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data.
